Would you like to be part of the Young Fundraisers Programme to support the work that we do here at Link Age Southwark?

Are you aged between 12-18?

Here is your chance to get your creative juices flowing by planning and delivering different events as well as meeting like-minding people, boosting your CV and helping the local community in Southwark!

What does a Young Fundraiser do?

Each year we host and promote a range of community events that help us raise money. We need volunteers to support us to deliver these events on the day, which could include: welcoming guests, helping with stands at events, baking cakes to be sold at events, and helping us to promote events locally.

Eligibility criteria:

Anyone between the ages of 12 and 18 years old, living in the London Borough of Southwark.

What will you gain from your role?

  • We will offer you training and insight into how charity fundraising works.
  • You will develop new skills, including teamwork and self-confidence.
  • Volunteering is really good for your CV, for future jobs and university applications.
  • You will also be making a positive contribution to your local community by supporting Southwark's older residents and people living with dementia.
  • You will get a taster of what it is like to work for a charity.

We spoke to one of our young volunteers who attended one of our community fundraising events to ask for their thoughts:

"I really enjoyed meeting and interacting with new people, learning new skills and being a part of the community."
