Community Fundraising and Events Coordinator

We are recruiting a full time Community Fundraising and Events Coordinator to join our team. This person will be responsible for meeting the annual income target for community fundraising and events. This will involve developing and overseeing the delivery of our annual fundraising events calendar, as well as our fundraising campaigns and appeals. You will be assisted in your role by our Volunteer Fundraising Committee, who play an active part in making our events happen.

We are in the process of launching a new programme, which involves recruiting and engaging a team of Young Fundraisers. You will spearhead this initiative and develop and support the Young Fundraisers in their role.

Link Age Southwark benefits from strong local support in the form of individual and business patrons and supporters. Stewardship of these individuals, as well as generating new patrons and supporters, will be a key part of the role.

Contract type: Full-time (35 hours per week), permanent

Salary: £28,000

Service Coordinator - Hospital Buddies Lead

We are recruiting a part-time Service Coordinator who will have lead responsibility for developing our new Hospital Buddy Project. The project will provide support to people receiving elective hips and knees surgery, focussing on their wellbeing before and after being in hospital. The support will be provided by a team of volunteers who will be recruited and trained by Link Age Southwark.  

As the Service Coordinator, you will have lead responsibility for developing the project, receiving referrals, conducting home visits and working with the volunteer team to make suitable matches. You will also be responsible for keeping accurate records relating to project delivery.

Please note that the preferred start date for this role is Monday 18 July.

Contract type: Part-time (21 hours per week), 10 months until end March 2023

Salary: £28,000 pro rata

Volunteering and HR Coordinator

We are recruiting a full-time Volunteering and HR Coordinator who will be part of the volunteer team of Link Age Southwark. The post holder will support the recruitment, induction and management of volunteers as well as overseeing the recruitment process for new staff.

Link Age Southwark has up to 350 volunteers supporting our work with older people and people living with a diagnosis of dementia in the borough. The volunteer team play a key role in ensuring that we have the volunteers we need and that volunteers feel valued in their roles. The Volunteering and HR Coordinator will also work with recruiting Managers and the Chief Executive to ensure that the staff and Trustee recruitment process is effectively managed.

Please note that the preferred start date for this role is Monday 15 August.

Salary: £28,000

Trusteeship

Link Age Southwark is seeking three new Trustees. We currently have a vacancy on our Finance Committee which is a sub committee of the Board. For this role we are keen to recruit someone with experience of finance and/or business. In addition, we would welcome applications from those with experience of people management and retail, however these are not exclusive categories. We are keen to increase representation of the diverse communities that Southwark represents on the Board of Link Age Southwark. This includes people who may not have served on a Board before as we can provide mentorship and training to new or inexperienced Trustees. 

Please note that there is no financial remuneration for this role. Reasonable expenses for travel and childcare may be claimed.
