Information & Support

The Information & Support team offers support with financial, practical and wellbeing issues. We can help with:

  • Benefits check
  • Form filling
  • Finding a befriender
  • Joining a social, activity and exercise groups
  • Getting online
  • IT support with mobile phones and tablets
  • Finding local services and accessing handyperson schemes
  • Referrals to the Happy Feet (toenail cutting) service
  • Referrals to Southwark Carers (for unpaid carers of the over 60s and people living with dementia)

How can I contact Information & Support?

If you would like to refer yourself or someone you know to this service, please call us on 020 8299 2623.

Where more time is needed, we can book another appointment at your home, in our office, or with a phone call. If specialist advice is required, we can refer you to appropriate experts. 

This service is delivered as part of Ageing Well Southwark. Ageing Well Southwark is a partnership between Southwark Council and our fellow members of COPSINS (Consortium of Older People's Services in Southwark), comprising of Age UK Lewisham and Southwark, Blackfriars Settlement, Southwark Carers, Southwark Pensioners Centre and Time and Talents. Ageing Well Southwark aims to inform and support residents over the age of 60 and their carers, by helping them discover and access a range of available community services.
