We offer a free light gardening service to help older people enjoy their gardens for as long as possible.

Some of the tasks our volunteers can help with include:

• mowing lawns (with the service users own lawnmower)
• trimming bushes
• help clearing weeds

It is expected that anyone requesting help with their garden has the necessary tools and equipment for the volunteer to complete the task.

How do I sign up?

If you, or someone you know, needs help with light gardening, please contact the office on 020 8299 2623 and speak to a member of staff or email us on [email protected]

We can only send a volunteer to a person's house to complete a task if they are already a registered Link Age Southwark service user and have been assessed at home by a member of our services team. If someone is not registered but would like some help in their home or garden, please complete our services referral form.

Due to high demand for these services, we may have to limit the number of visits to two or three per year. We are unable to commit our volunteers to regular and ongoing visits.
