We are excited to announce we are now running weekly Digital Awareness workshops for older people in partnership with ClearCommunityWeb. The workshops began in August and will run into September, taking place every Monday from 2-4pm in East Dulwich and every Wednesday 1-3pm at Blackfriars Settlement. The timetable is as follows:

Every Monday, 2-4pm in East Dulwich:

  • Password safety - 2 August
  • Keeping your devices safe - 9 August
  • Keeping your information safe - 16 August
  • Cookies, trackers & data protection - 23 August
  • Scams (an overview) - 6 September
  • Keeping your email safe - 13 September
  • Making online payments safely - 20 September
  • Managing money online - 27 September

Every Wednesday between 4 August - 8 September, 1-3pm at Blackfriars Settlement:

Over the six-week period we will cover the following topics:

  • Staying safe online
  • Getting more out of the Internet
  • Using email

During the first hour of these sessions, ClearCommunityWeb will run a series of Digital Awareness Workshops. The second hour is a chance for attendees to bring along any IT or tech-related problems, and our friendly staff and volunteers will do their best to help or refer for specialist support if needed.

Attendees are welcome to being their own portable device (tablet, phone, laptop etc.) or, if you don’t have a device but need support online (like searching the internet or filling in an online application form), there are tablets and laptops available to use.

These sessions will be running on an appointment-only basis as we have limited space available.

Please call us on 020 8299 2623 or email us at [email protected] if you would like to attend one or more of these sessions.
