Our Big Give Christmas Challenge is now LIVE!

This year’s Big Give Campaign is focused on supporting the provision of transport services for our service users including those living with a diagnosis of dementia and their carers. We provide volunteer drivers, escorted taxi services and accessible minibuses to support Southwark’s older residents to attend our groups and events. Our transport provision can make the difference between someone staying indoors or having the opportunity to come to a warm, safe and social space. How does the Big Give Christmas Challenge work?

We currently have a 'pledge pot' of £8,000. £5,000 from individual donations and £3,000 from The Reed Foundation. Every pound donated during the week of the campaign will be matched by the money from the pledge pot. We need your support to help us reach this year’s target of £16,000. 

How can you support our Big Give Christmas Challenge?

You can make an online donation from 12:00 (midday) on Tuesday 28 November (#GivingTuesday). The campaign closes at 12:00 Tuesday 5 December.

If you are unable to donate but would still like to support Link Age Southwark's Big Give Christmas Challenge campaign, you can tell your friends, family and colleagues or share the details of the campaign via your social media platforms.

Help keep Southwark's older people connected

In our 2023 Service User Survey, 96% of respondents said they were very happy or happy with the groups we run in-person. Some of their comments included:
